I’ve finally got my 2nd photo sale (from istockphoto) after over a whole year. Pathetic I know… but I still only have 10 photos in my whole portfolio. Talk about the laziest microstocker ever… haha 🙂
(Of course I’ve sold more times than that if you consider all the partner programs which is run together with iStock, but officially, its the second). Wonder how many years until the third? 🙂
Since the photo was sold just a day before the newest member of the UK royal family was born, I’m sure it was bought for something related. So I have to thank the little one… haha
I don’t think I’ve posted it so far, but my first sale a year ago was being used as some marketing material for an fashion site. Next time I’ll put up a post on it just to brag a bit.
Anyway, hope the person who bought the second photo would put it to good use (and hopefully use it online so that I can find it). 🙂
Just realised that the same photo which was my “first photo sale” was sold one more time in August. I’m really not keeping up to date with this thing much (because as you can see, the sales are coming in extremely slowly). On another note, until now, I still haven’t tried to upload another photo since my last rejection… so I’m still at 5 photos for my entire portfolio… got to improve on this!!!
Anyone else started microstock work recently and can share their experience with me?
Yay! I just realised that I received my first stock photo sale! Despite not uploading anything since two months ago when I first started and only having a portfolio of merely 5 photos, I guess I’m damn lucky to be at least able to get one sale! 🙂
Although it merely sold for USD$5.85 (SGD$7.37), of which I only get a mere USD$0.88, but its nice to know that there is someone out there who would still pay money to buy one of my photos.
And to top it off, this photo was only taken while I was babysitting my son at a department store waiting for my wife to finish shopping (for baby stuff). Glad that even this could be useful for someone 🙂
Hope I will have many more photo sales to come… but to be realistic, that first sale took 2 months, so I guess I better stop being lazy and start expanding my portfolio if I was to have any chance at even a second sale… haha.
